Well, I did it...
I went and took my placement test and I signed up and paid in full for my first semester of school for cosmetology at the community college down the street from where we live.
It's a big step for me and it feels really good. I am a perfectionist in many ways and a lot of times I don't do something because of the fear of not being as good as others or the fear of not being as good as I know that I could be. But I have wanted to take a step forward in living my life proactively and not being complacent. So I start next Tuesday! I bought a lunch box yesterday and I felt like a little kid again. Hmm..come to think of it, maybe I need to go pick out a first day of school outfit!
I'm a little concerned about my schedule though. I am going to be working from 10am-3pm and going straight to school and not getting off until 9:30pm on Mon-Thurs. That's almost 12 hr. days! I'm really hoping that there won't be any homework due during the middle of the week or I am going to be in trouble.. but I will try my best, and even if it is really crazy I will be graduating in a little over a year. I think it's worth it.

I love your blog! I am excited for your opportunity to go to cosmetology school. I can relate to your apprehension as I have been pursuing photography as a new venture. I haven't pursued it until this time because of some of the very reasons you wrote about. But it feels great to "take the leap" doesn't it? BTW, your place looks so cute- I really liked the pix!
Congratulations on your new adventure! You are already so gifted, I can't imagine how great you'll be once you're finished.

YOu already know so much and I know that you will only be excited to learn more- I am so proud of you for moving forward even though you were nervous.
